Rev Ken has chosen this carol for today
and wants the children to sing it in the original German too because he KNOWS
how much it will cheer poor Homer up as he has been missing his homeland very
much recently!
Rev Ken fondly remembers the evening when this photo was taken. He had brought his baby daughter, Clarissa, along to evensong because his wife was working that night. Poor Clarissa was SO good! She had a snooze in her pram at the back of the church during the service. But she awoke just as the service had finished and started to fret......WHERE was her Daddy? Rev Ken picked her up and settled her on his lap whilst sitting in a pew. He sang quietly to her in order to make her feel secure and settled....and WHAT carol did he sing..............well THIS one........................AND in German too just as Homer had taught him!
